Definition of stenosis lumbar canal:

Neurogenic intermittent claudication secondary to lumbar canal stenosis was first described by Verbiest (1954) and is characterized by several factors individually or simultaneously present:

  • calcification of ligaments
  • formation of osteophytes
  • spondylolisthesis
  • Thickening of the bony walls and joints

BacJac is indicated for these kind of patients:

  • suffering from neurogenic intermittent
    claudication
  • can not sit more than 50 minutes
  • with narrowing of the lumbar canal
  • Central and / or lateral foramen in 1 or 2 levels
  • facet joint syndrome
  • spondylolisthesis with up to 1.5 degrees on a
    scale of 1 to 4 (about 35%)
  • with large bulging disk
